Weather Systems by Chris Langlois opens at the Olsen Irwin gallery in Sydney on the 20th of this month. I like his large realist works of the sea and clouds, they’re minimalist and make you ponder, just as the sea itself does. But I like his smaller, much looser landscape sketches much more. They’re so much more free and alive. I know which works would have been more fun to paint!
Here’s a couple of his larger, more realist paintings..
Chris Langlois – Weather system (St Vincent Gulf) no.2 – 168 x 183cm
Chris Langlois – Weather system (St Vincent Gulf) no.3 – 122 x 153cm
And here’s some of his smaller landscape paintings..
Chris Langlois – Sketch (Black Ridge) 2014 no. 2 – 22 x 29cm
Chris Langlois – Sketch (Black Ridge) 2014 no. 1 – 19 x 29cm
Chris Langlois – Sketch (Barrier Range) 2014 no. 1 – 23 x 29cm
